Art-In-The-Halls Exhibit
A Tale of Success
Once upon a time, an employee of WCMCA observed that the off-white walls of the building looked extremely bare and plain. The employee thought and thought and finally an idea came to her. Why not invite artists to display their artwork on the walls, thereby adding color and interest to a very ordinary building? An artist was invited to show his work and the project was off and running. Staff working in the building enjoyed having the walls decorated and the artists had an opportunity to show and potentially sell their work.
Art-In-The-Halls Today
Artwork of all varieties (oil, acrylic, watercolor, etc. paintings; pencil drawings, needlework, pen and ink, pastels, etc; rug making; carvings) can be hung on the halls of our facility located at 411 Industrial Park Boulevard, Elbow Lake, Minnesota. Each month, an Open House is held honoring the guest artist featuring his/her artwork in conjunction with the regular monthly Board of Directors meetings on the fourth Tuesday. The guest artist is invited to provide a mailing list of persons to invite to the open house and invitations are prepared and sent. Brochures can be prepared giving a short biography of the artist, describing the artwork, and listing the pieces with or without a pricelist. If you, or someone you know, is interested in displaying artwork, please call our Agency at 1-800-492-4805 or e-mail us at WCMCA, Inc. for more information.
